THE WESTLIGHT BERLIN

History-Steeped Location,
Recent Comeback,
Motor of the Local Economy

Berlin. Germany’s first city just keeps on growing. Its economy has been booming for years. Start-ups and established players, mid-market companies and global groups, talent and skilled labour – they all flock to Berlin. The city’s teaching and research institutions are renowned the world over. Politics, political parties, diplomacy, institutions and industry associations make Berlin a city where decisions are made.

In many ways, City West is the stuff of legends. During the Cold War years, it was West Berlin’s cultural and intellectual centre. Tiergarten, Tauentzienstrasse, Bahnhof Zoo and, of course, Kurfürstendamm – people moved to Berlin just because they felt drawn to these places. Immediately after the reunification of the divided city, things slowed down a bit.

But in the recent past, City West has experienced an amazing renaissance. Its business and research sectors are booming. Which is unsurprising: Between historic edifices and trend-setting new structures, you will find national and international corporates and conglomerates, big brands, posh boutiques, time-honoured shops and insider tips, trendy bars, luxurious hotels.

Directly across from Berlin’s celebrated zoo, in one of the most prominent corners of City West, the Westlight with its crystalline façade has been a beacon heralding the comeback of West Berlin since 2020.

Everything that makes life in the western part of the city worth living is available right here: Shopping, cultural and gastronomic venues, sports and leisure facilities are all within easy reach of the Westlight.
At the same time, the prestigious address occupies one of the finest and most sought-after office locations in the heart of downtown.
