MIPIM 2023

The Procuratie Vecchie building in Venice counts among the showpieces in the European portfolio of Generali Real Estate. Dating back to the sixteenth century, the building occupies the entire northern perimeter of the Piazza San Marco in Venice, and is considered a benchmark for the architectural language of the famous square. Between 2017 and 2022, the entire building complex was comprehensively restored by David Chipperfield Architects and upgraded to modern concepts of use on behalf of GRE.

For the first time in 500 years, the Procuratie Vecchie is now open to the public, a place for people, culture, art and commerce in the heart of Venice.

The building was awarded an LEED Silver certificate, and is carbon-neutral in its operation.

Among those in attendance in Cannes was Lukas Jeckel, who is responsible for the entire German-speaking region at Generali Real Estate and who has long argued in favour of a consistent sustainability strategy for the entire portfolio of GRE.
