Generali Real Estate Germany has a new head: Yalcin Bozdag has been promoted to Country Head for Germany & Austria and is now responsible for operations in both countries with immediate effect.

Bozdag has been with Generali Real Estate since 2006, initially as Head of Asset Management & Letting Germany in Cologne. In 2023, he took over the management of the Austrian branch and has consistently developed the business there, positioning it for the future. He now aims to bring this momentum to the German market as well.

In his new dual role, Bozdag is responsible for operational business, asset management, investments and project management in Germany and Austria – with a focus on yield- and risk-optimised portfolio management as well as ESG and sustainability initiatives.

“Beyond cost-conscious management, the sustainable development of our existing portfolios is a central aspect of our asset management strategy. As a long-term property owner, our aim is to safeguard the value of our properties. The current transformation processes in the property sector require a strategic rethink as well as targeted investments, through which we actively adapt our portfolios to new usage requirements and thus ensure our competitiveness and market relevance in the long term,” said Yalcin Bozdag, Country Head Germany & Austria at Generali Real Estate.
A qualified business economist and RICS member, he has over 30 years’ experience in the property sector. Throughout his career, he has managed portfolios with assets under management (AuM) of up to €5 billion, primarily in the office, retail and residential asset classes.
